Career
Eamonn Farrelly is an environmental specialist with more than 20 years experience gained in environmental risk assessment primarily within the agrochemical industry. He is an experienced risk assessor with particular expertise in the areas of fish bioconcentration, invertebrate bioassays, sediment toxicology, aquatic field studies and is also an experienced analytical chemist. He obtained his Masters degree (1995) in Environmental Analysis and Assessment from the University of London at Imperial College’s Silwood Park. He began his career at Jealotts Hill Research Station working in environmental sciences, leaving in 1997 to manage an ecotoxicology laboratory within a multinational CRO. He established his own consultancy company in 2000, which subsequently joined with Exponent International in early 2004. He continues to be actively involved in scientific developments within environmental risk assessment, ecotoxicology, endocrine disruption and probabilistic risk analysis.
SETAC Involvement
Eamonn has been a SETAC member for >8 years and has contributed to many international OECD and SETAC workshops concerned with scientific developments in aquatic ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment. He has been active on the SETAC Europe Council since 2002 with specific responsibility for Regional Branches.
