Career
Vladimír Kočí was born 15.11.1972 in Prague. He studied Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, Department of Water Technology and Environment, in years 1991-1996. During his post-gradual studies in years 1996-1999 he was interested mainly in Ecotoxicology. In years 1999 – 2000 he worked as research worker at Department of Environmental Chemistry of ICT Prague. Since 2000 he is a member of teaching staff of this department. His research work is orientated on ecotoxicology, decontamination technologies, and Life Cycle Assessment studies. His pedagogical activities consist of presentations at several foreign universities, too. He is an author of study materials, approximately 20 scientific works and 56 contributions on conferences.
SETAC Involvement
Vladimír Kočí is a Council Member of SETAC Europe since 2002 and chair of the SETAC Europe Education Committee.
He established SETAC Europe Summer School in year 2004, which is now to be continued in following years.
He was a vice-chair of Organizing committee of Prague Annual Meeting of SETAC Europe in 2004.
Vladimír Kočí has been one of the initiators for the SETAC Europe Central & East branch.
